Subject:CD ripping in Batch Converter?

Hey guys,

Now that you're marketing Batch Converter as a standalone product, please consider adding CD audio extraction - it will make the product a lot more useful. You could sell a lot of product to video people with Avids. The built-in extraction/sample rate conversion in Avid is absolutely atrocious (sounds bad). A lot of video production uses stock/library music and sfx, which come in Audio CDs. Pro video is usually 48KHz Fs - so a very large portion of the music and sfx you hear in video production has been sample rate converted within the Avids (which are the standard for video production). For important projects I usually re-extract audio from CD and sample convert with SF - then match the material to the files I get from the video editors. But this is a somewhat clunky process. We've been thinking of possibly adding SF to the video workstations so that the videots can do their own conversion as they initially choose music. But SF is overkill for just that purpose. Batch Converter would be a whole lot more useful if you could audition material of the audio CDs, then Batch rip & samplerate convert the desired tracks. How about it?
