Hi Gang, I have recorded a five minute voice demo with a music background. I then compressed it into an MP3 file. When I e-mail as an attachment it is received as 38 separate e-mails. The response when I'm sending it is 1 of 38. The receiver told me he could not open it up without editing all 38 together. He told me I nee to compress it into one file. I thought that's what I had done. I would appreciate any feedback someone can give me. I am new to using Sound Forge. I do voiceover work and narration and want to be able to compress to MP3 and upload to my clients.....Thanks...Robin |

How large is the size of the MP3? There might be a limitation with your email system in regards to attachments. I doubt this has anything to do with SF, especially since it is a single file when you attach it. |

Hi Kryten...Thanks for your reply. The file size was 1.49 mb. I don't know if I'm saving it incorrectly or what. Tonight I shortened the tape to 3 minutes. When I compressed to MP3 the only think I did differently was chose to save at 128kbp. When I e-mailed it to a friend as a test, it went out as 47 separated e-mails. I am clueless on this. Comcast says 4.0 mb would be the max you can send as an attachment, SO I'm well under that file size....Robin |

Time to scan your machine for possible viruses. You DO do that, don't you? ;) In any case, the file is well below the limit of the attachment size, so that's not the problem. This is becoming off-topic, so I'll email you privately. |
