Hi, First off....the knowledge base SUX. The help file w/SF5 double sux too. No how to's that amount to diddlesquat. Okay. Real simple... I recorded my vocals in mp3 & wav. I recorded a song in the same formats. I want to one, voice over and adjust that. Two I want to take my vocals and add them into the music. The end result would be one track of my vocals and the music. Nowhere does the help files give detailed instructions. I've tried all the mix related questions in the help file and the instructions do not concur with what exactly happens. Told to copy the wave file, then drag and drop it into the next wav. There is no way to do that with the mouse. Someone that has done all this before, please send step by step, start to finish instructions that are WAAAY better than what I already have. THANKS:-) |

SoundForge is not the best way to do what you want, Get a copy of Vegas Audio LE and use that. Why make life hard. |

I agree with Wilkee: do it with Vegas. But if you can't or just don't want to, you'll have to Copy one file and Paste Special\Mix it into the other file. It's difficult to mix it this way though. |

Step-by-Step: 1. Get a Clue 2. Buy the correct program to do this task (ie You don't use a hammer, when you need a screw driver). 3. There are a Million Tasks that Sound Forge can Accomplish, Don't expect a "Step by Step" explanation on doing all of them. You must use your brain. 4. If everything was as easy as 1,2,3 step by step instructions, we would all be brain surgeons making millions of dollars. 5. You sux |

Uh, did Rednroll forget to take his/her happy pill? "4. If everything was as easy as 1,2,3 step by step instructions, we would all be brain surgeons making millions of dollars." If we were all brain surgeons, no one would make any money doing it. The "law" of supply and demand "5. You sux" This statement makes no sense. Are you calling the person a "sux"? If so, what is a sux? |

Save yourself grief: take advantage of the 99$ Vegas LE to Vegas Audio upgrade avaialble until 31 August. We tried Vegas LE for about 15 minutes then bought the real thing via download. I am still using Vegas Pro on this machine and it mixes fine. |
