navigation puzzle

None of my chapters overlap. Each one is text only in a vertical column but, quite often, when using the control to navigate up and down the list then the highlight will skip across a chapter one way ( say down) but then will highlight the chapter on the way up!

Have tried changing the size of font , moving the text to a different position and even deleting the chapter and reinstating it in the list but the chapter is still skipped.

This is not confined to the software. The problem persists even when the dvd is burnt.

Any ideas how to avoid this problem?

If you switch over to the Navigation tool (click on it in the upper left of the big Workspace panel) and then click on each button, you'll see arrows indicating which button your viewer will be taken to as he navigates the menu with the arrow keys on his remote control.

You can also check by clicking on each button and looking at the buttons it links to on the Navigation page of the Button Properties panel.

They can be modified too, using either tool, if you don't like the way they navigate by default.

LOL, that's great! I've used DVD-A for years and never knew of that feature.

Maybe I should read the manual some day? :->)

Or you could pick up my book on Amazon!

(My book on version 5 is due to come out by the end of this year.)

You can also make sure the text boxes are aligned correctly. The default navigation will skip over an item it thinks are not "in line" with the one it's leaving.
