Subject:Consolidating midi/audio tracks to audio files

I'm looking to take some single tracks (both midi and audio, each incorporating multiple clips/edits) that I've recorded in an Acid Pro 7 song project and save them as individual continuous audio files (so I can load them on to someone else's pro tools and use them there). Any thoughts on how I accomplish that? thx

Are you referring to rendering tracks? Acid has many options regarding midi/audio rendering.

Use the "save each track as a separate file" option under "File > Render As" on the menu bar. Be aware that MIDI tracks that are routed to a soft synth will be rendered; any MIDI track routed otherwise (like to a hardware device) will not be rendered.

Thanks. But can I take a single track--let's say a piano track made up of 4 different clips along the timeline--and render them as one single, continuous audio file that contains the entire track (ie, all the clips in succession as laid out on the track)? When I select the "render as" function, seems like I get the option of rendering any one of the clips, but not the entire continuous track. Or maybe the question is this: if i really can make a continuous audio file of the entire track in the "render as" function, how do I know which track is which in the list of files that appears? The files that appear don't have the names I've given them in the project.

Never mind--I've figured it out--thanks!

Just in case anyone's seeking an answer to your question: Whatever you label the track as will be labeled in the render using the "save each track" option.

e.g., Track one labeled, "Synth," becomes, "Track 01 Synth.wav."
