3D with .jpg stills?

Is there a way to make a 3D preview/render with just .jpg files from a still camera?
I took two pictures (about eye-width apart) and I'm just messing around to see if I can do a 3D view via Vegas 10.
I can load them as "full side-by-side" on one video track, but the preview window just shows two images side by side.
Is there a way to preview this in 3D?

Thanks.

If you have some of the cheap red/cyan glasses lying around you can preview in Anaglyphic mode on a standard monitor.

Okay, I was able to get some semblance of 3D using two stills...
You have to make sure the Left eye view is on the TOP video track, Right eye on the video track below it, and then select both the L and R eye video tracks, right-click and choose "pair as 3D..."
Then set the Video preview to Red/Cyan anaglyphic view.
Then dropped the Stereo 3D video FX on the video event....
However, any of the adjustments for that effect do not work (e.g., horizontal and vertical adjustments...)

Better way is:
add pictures to Project Media, select pair of pictures, right-click selected and set Pair as Stereoscopic 3D subclip, then drag created subclip to timeline
