I've been recording audio outtakes of AVI files in soundforge, but last week, all of a sudden, soundforge (4.5) now refuses to record anything, and the monitor bar stays at the same level. I've tried reinstalling soundforge, as well as my soundcard drivers, and i've also tried playing with the setting in various programs, but to no avail. Can anyone shed light on what might be wrong (or what i might be doing wrong)? Thanks in advance Alan http://www.thesunmachine.net |

It probably has to do with the volume control settings found on your task bar at the lower right of your screen. What you need to try to do is click on the icon that resembles a speaker, when your in the settings panel click on options, then you should see an option marked as "Adjust Volume for" click on the recording option. Make sure that the correct functions are checkmarked. For example, I use the Line in output for recording so Line is enabled, but the microphone, TAD-In and Auxiliary functions are disabled. Make sure that the WAVE function is also checked. You can leave these options checked; Record Master, SPDIF-in and CD-Audio. This should help you. |
