Subject:Bleeps

I'm a new user of Sound Forge 5.0.

I notice that when I use some tools (I think the ActiveX ones) I get high pitched bleeps both in the Preview and when I actually apply the tools. I'm sure this is something really dumb but could someone help me?

Are you using the demo version? Did you pay for it yet?

This has happened with demo version of the Vinyl tools but it has also happened with the tools that were bundled with the Sonic Forge that I bought at (sorry folks) Best Buy.

sounds like a registration problem. call the 800 number and they'll fix you up

More possibilities. I registered the demo for the Restoration tools and they're fine. The other ActiveX are beta, would that cause the beeps?

That does appear to be the problem, how do I turn these beta tools (some of which the packaging says are included) into non-beta status.

Thanks to those who are pointing me in the right direction, we all were beginners at one time.
