Subject:no playback sound from mic

Im new to sound forge. I dont hear anything upon playback. using a mic.Anybody?

Hello 1woody

Do you mean:

1. You are trying to record with a microphone to S.F. but no audio is captured. Or

2. You have a microphone recorded file in S.F. but you can not hear anything from your computer speakers.

If your problem is #1 please include which sound card you are using.

You will get better answers if you make your question easier to understand.
