Hi, About a week ago I had a power failure while working on a project in Acid Pro 7. When I went to restart Acid I keep getting a error saying all the Show Me functions are disabled, an invalid argument was supplied, what ever that means. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, even on my external HD's and still didn't solve the problem. I re downloaded software again from here and tried again to reinstall and still same message. I really use the tutorials and want them back. Also some other little things don't seem to work either. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance! btw, I am running windows xp on a crappy puter if that makes a difference.

You can try reseting the internal prefs of ACID.

Hold down the shift and the ctrl key while starting ACID. You will be prompted to reset all of ACID's internal settings.

A brute force method like reformatting the system may be in order but doing that isn't for the faint of heart as it requires reinstalling and updating Windows and any apps you had as well as drivers for any hardware.

As I always suggest to users, invest in an uninterruptable power supply (or UPS) like those from APC so you can save your work and shut down in the event of a power outage. (There are other benefits too, like the UPS being able to condition your power in the event of a power sag, which can be just as bad on your system.)
