How to highlight text only button with outline box

I currently use text only buttons on my DVDAS menus that are highlighted with the Underline option. This is OK, but I find the underline to be a bit too thick and I would rather outline the selected text with a thin rectangle surrounding the text. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to do this. Is it possible?

Don't worry, you're not missing anything. DVDA doesn't have a highlight mode like that. It's easy to create a thumbnail highlight mask in the shape of a rectangle, but these are applied to the thumbnail, not the text.

My favorite method for creating highlights is to use a custom highlight mask. It basically involves creating a single menu-sized image that defines the highlights for every item. You can read my Custom Highlight Masks tutorial for all the details.
