WAVES plug-ins and Vegas 9

Anyone else having any issues with Vegas 9 "shutting down" when trying to apply certain plug-ins from WAVES? This happens more than 50% of the time. I get a warning that says something to the effect that "Vegas has shut down...would you like to report a problem". I usually do, but I've yet to receive any kind of answer/insight. Can anyone offer one? (I'm running XP with plenty of RAM....) Thanks!

Waht plugins, and what version Waves ? I've had no problems with my ancient Waves 5 ( couldn't afford to stay on the Waves upgrade bandwagon, and they work OK for me ;-) .

Waves Native Power Pack. It seems to happen when I put L1 Ulramaximiser on the Master, but there's no rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes it doesn't do it, most times it does. Thanks!

Options/Preferences/Audio Device
Uncheck enable track buffering.
Should fix the issue.
It's listed in the "Known issues" in the release notes file.
Took me forever to figure it out before I read that file.

Waves discontinued the DirectX versions of their plugins when Waves 6 was released.
