GREEEEAAATT.... now that I already paid $100 more. What's the chance they'd give me back $100 in "store credit"?
CorTed wrote on 10/11/2010, 8:20 AM
That's a heck of a deal....... I'm in !!

They are also offering a free download with the purchase:

or

or
Sound Effects
or

Kevin, just contact Customer Service and talk to them.
Kevin R wrote on 10/11/2010, 8:36 AM
jet, I will give it a shot and will it help if I beg and tell them how I've purchased every version of Vegas since 3.0 and talked several friends into buying it?

Kevin, past practice is that Sony has refunded the money to those who jumped the gun and didn't wait a few hours for promo pricing to be announced.

Just got the email. This is probably the biggest no-brainer in my 30 year history of software purchases ... especially since I'm bumping up from v7.0.

Bravo, Sony.

Hey this is great! Im in too. I'm hesitating about the particle illusions, I would take it but if it's a 6 month lease... That or seminar series...
elvindeath wrote on 10/11/2010, 8:44 AM
For those who jumped the gun .... remember next time, you can download a fully functional trial version for 30 days :)

As for the "freebies", any recommendations on which is the best value ?
erikd wrote on 10/11/2010, 8:44 AM
I don't know but I jumped on it before it went away. Do you think this is for real? All along we heard $239.

Erik

Yeah it's real! Just got my serial number confirmation from SCS.

Brilliant!

essami wrote on 10/11/2010, 8:49 AM
I just got it! Awesome price!
Editguy43 wrote on 10/11/2010, 9:10 AM
I just noticed that it does not ask for a qualifying serial # like past upgrades?
Also is there any advantage to getting the packaged version vs. the download version, especialy now that they are using the reduced packaging thin.
essami wrote on 10/11/2010, 9:27 AM
I think it doesnt ask for qualifying serial if you're logged in so it knows whether you are qualified or not. Could this be the case?
Former user wrote on 10/11/2010, 9:29 AM
The link now shows a $239 upgrade price (and asks for a qualifying serial number). Was the $139 a Monday morning oopsie?
Rob Franks wrote on 10/11/2010, 9:29 AM
I bought mine already at $239.

The above link says nothing about a $139 deal. Am I missing some thing?
Sebaz wrote on 10/11/2010, 9:31 AM
I just clicked on the link and it still shows $139. But then I copied and pasted this page on Internet Explorer, clicked on the link and it gave me the $239. It's because in IE I wasn't logged in, but in Firefox I am. So if you're logged in it will show the $139 pricing.
essami wrote on 10/11/2010, 9:32 AM
I got mine at that price (or close as I paid in euros).

1x Vegas Pro (Download) @ 109,95 €
1x GenArts Wondertouch particleIllusion @ Free

Merchandise Total: 109,95 €
EU VAT Tax 25,29 €
Order Total: 135,24 €
Former user wrote on 10/11/2010, 9:39 AM
I was definitely logged in. Hm. Will have to call customer service.
Pokkis wrote on 10/11/2010, 9:41 AM
I'm also logged in and it shows normal price and asks for serial
megabit wrote on 10/11/2010, 9:42 AM
Arghh... I paid

1x Vegas Pro (Download) @ 181,95 €

Merchandise Total: 181,95 €
EU VAT Tax 40,03 €
Order Total: 221,98 €

The difference is a lot of cash to me, plus no freebies! Do you think it can be refunded?

Ros wrote on 10/11/2010, 9:43 AM
Same here, the link shows $239.95 and no options for freebies
essami wrote on 10/11/2010, 9:44 AM
I think at least with previous upgrades where ppl have paid "full upgrade price" they've been refunded, I would call or email customer service.

Would seem quite unfair if they said that you were too quick to buy our product!
mekelly wrote on 10/11/2010, 9:52 AM
I am logged in, but it's $239, not $139.
