Subject:Acid 3 clicks etc

I'm sure this had been discussed. Whenever I, lets say adjust the volume or change the tempo or other actions, I get "clicks" -intermitent interruptions of the music-on my Acid 3 projects.

Also, anytime i load different loop cds on the cd, the explorer will not recognize the newly loaded cd unless i close it and re-open the explorer.

I cant think right now of all the other things that seem to have gone wrong now that I use Acid 3. Seems that the finance department needed some bottom-line in a hurry, you know, those stocks needed a little boost to stay afloat in the current economy. Maybe I digress, but i dont think im the only one complaining. $99 may not be a lot to some, but I like to get my money's worth and want to believe that SF is dedicated yes, making a buck, but also to developing good software

Quite frankly, i think Acid 3 must have been developed and tested in a hurry. Sonic Foundry has managed to slightly ruin the fun and ease-of-use of this program.

They apparently have never heard of the expression,"if it aint broke, dont fix it"

such is my rant

Hello,

You can click the refresh icon just above explorer and see the newly inserted CD, and the clicks are from not setting your buffer or using more effects than your system can handle, and also you should run your loops from your hard drive not the CD this will speed things up. And just because the program offers added busses and effects doesn't mean everybodys system can handle them. These effects use alot of CPU Power and once your CPU gets maxed out you will start getting skips and pops. To solve some of the effect problems you can put the effects on master volume and route busses through there to use less CPU power.
Hope this helps. BTW: Please post your system info when you have problems, it helps out alot when I can see what devices are installed, and hardware specs Thanks.

See ya
