Audio Studio 10.0 can't see Digidesign ASIO driver -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:Audio Studio 10.0 can't see Digidesign ASIO driver Posted by: NarratorsAudio Date:9/18/2010 8:51:51 AM Just yesterday I upgraded from Audio Studio 9.0 to AS 10.0. However, my Digidesign (standalone) ASIO driver isn't showing up as one of the available options under Preferences/Audio/Audio Device Type in AS 10.0. (Shown there are MS Sound Mapper, Direct Sound Surround Mapper, and Windows Classic Wave Driver.) On AS 9.0, the ASIO driver showed and worked fine. Though I do have a vague recollection of having to do "something" to access the ASIO drivers when I first set up 9.0, I can't locate anything specific (and I save virtually _everything_ re: correspondence, fixes, etc.). I've uninstalled and reinstalled AS 10.0, and reinstalled 9.0 as well. Both are currently loaded on my system, and 9.0 still shows access to ASIO driver and 10.0 doesn't. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Judith
Subject:RE: Audio Studio 10.0 can't see Digidesign ASIO driver Reply by: Audio Chap Date:10/8/2010 7:51:39 PM Hello Judith Try installing Digi MIME Helper, a third-party free gizmo....I have to use it for CD Architect (but not for SF9) ...once it's installed, you'll have to add your AS to its list, and then (probably) select MS Sound Mapper ... hope this helps...

Subject:RE: Audio Studio 10.0 can't see Digidesign ASIO driver Reply by: SonySQAPete Date:1/7/2011 7:15:40 AM The standalone digi drivers won't auto-escalate permissions when installed. Make sure you're running the driver installer by right-clicking it and selecting "Run as Administrator".
