Subject:Help with Acid music studio 8.0

I made a drum beat in Fruity loops Producer edition 9, rendered it to wav, and dropped it into track 1. Everything is fine. When I try to record my guitar on track 2, it waits a measure or 2 to start recording. What I'm saying is the drums and guitar are way out of sync and I'm at my wits end about what to do. I've already changed from "beat mapping" to "one shot". Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Could we have the steps to your workflow when you record? There are more than a couple of ways of recording (e.g., count-in; punch-in) and you may have inadvertently done something you didn't intend.

Also, what's your hardware? Audio interface?

I'm using an M-audio fast track. It's the newest one I believe. 2 channel with phantom power. I'm using the metronome count-in with a 2 measure count. I wondered if that was it but I've done it with the metronome disabled, or so I thought, but I'll look up those search terms in the help file. (count-in) (punch-in). Thanks for your reply, and I'll let you know later on today.

Thanks again.
