Subject:new VST detection in Acid Pro 7/Vista

I am running Acid Pro 7 latest update in Vista Ultimate. I just installed 2 new VST instruments and when I open Acid Pro 7, it does not detect the new instruments. I went to the plugin manager and asked it to rescan the VST folder. I checked the VST folder and the two .dlls are there, but even after the rescan, Acid will not detect them. I opened three other DAWS (FL Studio, Cubase and Ableton) and they see those two VSTs just fine. Any additional suggestions as to how to get Acid to detect these two new VSTs? |

I finally got them to work - Omnisphere and Stylus. I went to the plugin manager, opened CONFIGURE VST icon on the right hand side of the plugin manager window, checked FORCE REBUILD, did another scan and they finally appeared. Just doing a scan of the vst folder without forcing the rebuild did not work but selecting the VST folder and forcing the rebuild did finally detect them. Just posting this solution so others who may have a similar issue might try this as a possible solution. Thanks! |
