Subject:Question regarding Preset Manager

I have several dozen Graphic Fade presets that I use sporadically. When I need them, I load them from a saved file using Preset Manager, which they then appear in the Graphic Fade plug-in in Sound Forge 10. When I'm done using them, I'll open Preset Manager again to delete them, but they remain listed in the plug-in. I'll then have to open the plug-in an manually delete them one at a time. |

There isn't really a question in your post, but I'm assuming you want to know why this is, or how to keep it from happening. I'm not really sure. I've never heard of anyone using the preset manager in this way. Why not just keep the presets installed and name them as such that they don't appear at the top of your presets list? Otherwise, have you tried setting up two completely separate preset setups, and then just switching between the two? The preset manager has always only "kind-of" worked for me, and can still do some weird things. Perhaps this is a bug. Rob. |

Thanks for responding. Your idea of two seprate presets setup sounds like it might work. Never thought of that before. As to why I don't keep the presets installed: one, I use them sporadically, but not enough to warrant keeping them installed...and two (and most importantly), there are over a hundred of them and still growing. It gets cumbersome repeatedly scrolling to look for the correct one. Perhaps a future version can group presets together by type and/or nestle them within one another so that users can click to expand that particular preset group. |
