is it possible to change the tempo of just one track in a song? Not by pitch, but by adjusting only the tracks tempo/bpm...?

Kinda sorta. If this is a loop (not a One-Shot or Beatmapped track), try right-clicking the track in particular in the track list and select "Properties." Click the "Stretch" tab and play around with the "Number of beats" setting. Double the number of beats to slow down the tempo. Divide the original number of beats by 2 to increase the tempo.

You can also play around with the "Root note" too.

Note that this will change the entire loop totally. You won't be able to, say, temporarily change the tempo of just that track and go back to the original tempo.

You *could*, however, duplicate the track and make your changes accordingly and then switch back and forth between them. Just an idea... :)

I think that may have been what I was looking for...I have also been messing with the pitch, but too drastic a changemakes the sample lose the sound I was looking for....thanks anyways for the insight...!

You can change the tempo of a wave (one shot track only )
1.Double click on the track event and a window will appears(event properties)
now you have three choice.

1.start offset(samples)
2.Pitch shift
3.speed,if you change the speed, you change the tempo like SL-1200MK2
I mix my song like that.

Good mix
