Making continuous mix CD's with track points??? -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:Making continuous mix CD's with track points??? Posted by: mynamewastaken Date:7/16/2001 2:40:49 PM I'm sure this has been asked, but I'm dumb, so bear with me. I have a continous file, stereo mixed down to 44.1 and saved as PCA, now I need to know how (Using CD architect or directly in soundforge or whatever) to drop in track seperations so that the cd plays back uninterupted, but listeners can skip to any point by skipping tracks. I've tried before, but a few seconds of silence always creeps in to some files and makes the continuous aspect null and void. Help.

However you can certainly do this in CD Architect. All that you should have to do is add your audio to the project in CD Architect and then place track markers by hitting the T key on the keyboard.

The caveat: you have to do it by hand... Just split the large mix in several wav files, one for each track. Make sure you cut it up where there's a zero-crossing. Label the files track01, track02 and so on. Burn the tracks on CD in the right order. You have to do it disk-at-once and make sure not to forget to disable the 2-second pause between tracks! Nero5 does this and I'm sure other burning programs have the same option. A lot of manual work, but it gets the job done. Succes, Bart

You would not be able to do this with Sound Forge 5. However you can certainly do this in CD Architect. All that you should have to do is add your audio to the project in CD Architect and then place track markers by hitting the T key on the keyboard.
