why does a company promise a rebate and an upgrade and then
not deliver ? in the world i live in ,you are only as good as your
word. and the word is SONIC FOUNDRY HAS LEFT ME HANGING FOR
3 MONTHS. the only contact was to inform me that the rebate form
(supplied to me by a sonic foundry rep , no doubt) does not comply
with the terms of the offer.and they already have my original reciept !
considering a purchase involving a rebate and FREE upgrade ?
DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE . i got suckered in , don't let this happen
to you . RUN FOR LIFE !!! (OR WALLET IN THIS CASE)

Guitar Center had this amazing 100% rebate on Sound Forge XP last year, but after waiting 6 months for my check, these scumbags down at the Arizona rebate center claimed they "never received my form." So they just pocket the rebate money from SF and mysteriously lose half the rebate forms. Nice business.

I'm not sure I understand your situation, Todd. Have you called Sonic Foundry themselves to rectify the situation? (1.800.577.6642)

Try not be angry. Anger in a situation like this doesn't get anyone anywhere.

You should *always* make a copy of the original receipt *plus* anything else you fill out to send in as proof. 3 months is a little too long to wait to see if any action is taken. Take action yourself and wait 8 weeks at the very most. I know we're all a little too busy these days, but if you want your rebate and upgrade, you have to go the distance and keep on top of it.

I've had nothing but a pleasant experience with SF's customer service and tech support. Recently, I got a free loop library of my choice just for referring a friend who subsequently purchased ACID Pro 3. I didn't even have to pay shipping. Naturally, I was tickled to death. (A note to everyone: I don't know if this offer is still valid, so don't get your hopes up.)

as i feel more and more scammed by the crapiness of Acid 3, Sound Forge seems to be a very sketchy company. they better watch out, if they know what i mean......

If you have had a bad experience regarding your rebate, I encourage you to call us at 1-800-577-6642 and speak with a supervisor. Please note that there was an expiration date on that offer, but as long as you purchased Acid 2.0 before the deadline we will be able to upgrade your software.
