Subject:select and skip ?

Hi all,

Is there a way to select a vertical stripe of time (equal in all tracks) and then skip the selection in playback ?

Sound Forge does this with a Cntl-K if you know what I'm talking about and it's one of my favorite tools for tight edits.

I just want to be able to hear what an Acid project sounds like, with and without a certain selected area.
