Subject:Projects Won't Play Posted by: abnerman Date:8/31/2010 3:44:16 PM Hopefully this is something simple that I'm missing, and someone can help me out here. I've been using ACID Pro with no problems for some time, but today for some reason none of my projects play. They seem to open and load properly, but when I hit play, it's just unresponsive. The cursor stays put and nothing happens. The program doesn't "freeze", as I can move the location-cursor around manually and open new projects, etc.. all with the same result. I've run no updates, done nothing with the computer, no new installs of any sort... absolutely nothing has changed since I used it without any issues last night. Please help!

I was hoping it would be something easy, but when is that the case? :) I can try it though as long as I remembered to keep my serial # in a conspicuous place (downloaded instead of physical purchase). As long as my projects and other software and whatnot is o.k. now, there's no risk in screwing anything up by trying that right? I just want to make sure I won't be jeopardizing anything else before I would give it a whirl.. Again, thanks for the response.

Subject:RE: Projects Won't Play Reply by: Iacobus Date:9/3/2010 9:57:43 AM As long as you have your serial key, uninstalling/reinstalling shouldn't be a problem. Any projects you've created will stay right where they are. (I would always suggest backing up projects in any case.) The only thing is that any custom settings you had in ACID itself will be reset (audio driver settings, windows, tabs, etc.). Definitely fill out your system specs as Peter suggested as he can help you if there's something hardware-specific he might be able to reproduce.
Subject:RE: Projects Won't Play Reply by: abnerman Date:9/3/2010 3:01:28 PM Hi Peter, thanks for the response. As far as audio hardware goes, I'm using a Lexicon Ionix U42 as my interface/sound card. It's an ASIO driver, I believe.
