hello,

i have acid studio 7. i already have added one track of guitar to the timeline. i am trying to add a drum beat to the timeline using soft synth. i play the piano keys on the soft synth keyboard, which makes a drum sound. however i cannot get the sound to record onto the second track of the timeline. what EXACT steps do i need to take to record the soft synth to the keyboard? please do not refer me to the help sections of the program as these have not done me any good. i am new at this so please explain in simple steps.

thank you,

You need to either use a "real" MIDI keyboard controller (highly recommended) or you can use the Bome Mouse Keyboard. I have a tutorial on my web site on how to configure it with ACID Pro which should work for Music Studio as well.

How to Configure Bome's MIDI Keyboard with ACID
