Subject:Rendering problem

I've been using Acid Pro 7 for about a month with no problems. On one song when I solo a MIDI track (in Reason) for rendering to create an audio file, the process begins, stays on 0% and the estimated time just keeps climbing (I gave up when it it hit 2 hours). I have the same problem when attempting to render an audio file as well. This only happens in this song file - no problems in any other songs with Reason or with rendering individual audio files. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

ACID Pro being ReWired to Reason I take it? Which app is the ReWire master?

If you saved the MIDI file itself and started a new project using the same setup, is it OK then?

mD - thanks for responding - please forgive my lag in response.

Acid Pro is the master. I ran some additional tests: I deleted all of the Reason tracks and Reason itself - no change. I then deleted all of the softsynths (Drum Core and Garritan) - no change. I then tried deleting various audio files, getting down to two guitar tracks - no change. I'm baffled. Fortunately, I was able to use real time rendering to save the song, but I would still like to know what happened to that file.

Good to hear you recovered the project.

If it's only that one project then it sounds like that project was corrupted somehow. Power sags and power spikes—which can happen without the user knowing it—are typical culprits for corrupting files (which is why I always suggest using an uninterruptible power supply that has line conditioning).
