Hello,

Been using Acid Studio 7 for about a year now with no problems. Just installed Sample Tank 2 as a MIDI plug in. Works fine, but now that I am layering more complex tracks, playback skips and ultimatley freezes ("Acid has stopped working"). Is there a compatibility issue, or have I outgrown my laptop? Seems to meet all the requirements - Windows Vista, 2.2 Ghz AMD 64, 4GB RAM, no other programs running. Any ideas?

Thanks!

It has been reported that some Vists 32 users must run in "Administrator" mode in order to use SampleTank2 as a VSTI.

A brief discussion can be found here: KVR Forum.

I hope this solves your problem. If not there may be other issues at fault.

Let us know how it turns out as others may benefit from your solution.

Yeah, that's what the IK support said. My laptop is a few years old and I guess I just needed an excuse to get a new one to use Acid exclusively. That way I can optimize the speed (current laptop is also used for my "day job" and is bogged down with other programs and files).

While I was at it, I upgraded to Acid Pro 7, so I'm sure I'll be back.

Thanks!!!!
