QuickTime won't render

My ability to render to a Quicktime file seems to be intermittent. Most of the time the render will start for a fraction of a second and then the progress window disappears. Am I missing something?

try rendering to a different drive,

Try rendering to a stock template with no custom settings.
QT doesn't like nonstandard frame sizes or PAR.

I have added my system info - sorry.
I am using 9.0e 64 on a win 7 64 system

and did u change permissions on a drive recently?

QT will do what u described (appear to start rendering, then instantly be done with either nothing or a 1kb stub if it doesn't like the permission settings... this happened to me recently. i changed to an external drive and it rendered fine. go figure.

also check you have enough space to render to.

Thanks for that suggestion Robwood. I have been trying to render a D: drive connected to SATA with 300 GB free. It has been rendering mp4's fine but crashed with mov's. I tried pointing to a drive over the network and the render completes with mov's - seems odd.

Thanks! I was working on projects on a separate drive from where my OS and software are loaded. Switching to the same drive where Vegas was running from worked fine.
