Subject:Saving to MP3 with XP 4.5

When I save wav files in Sound Forge XP 4.5 as MP3 files using the MP3 Plug-In 1.0, everything goes fine until I listen to the new MP3 file. On the new mp3 file, all the sounds have an echo/reverb type of effect added to them that I didn't add. I just load up the wav, sounding normal, then the saved MP3 file has all this reverb added to it. How do I keep this unwanted effect from being added?
