Subject:markers/regions in SF10

Is there anyway to drop a marker in SF10 and have it pick up the time from the timeline, like it does in SF8 (and prior)?

Also, is there anyway to have SF10 prompt you with a dialog box like SF8 (and prior) as opposed to just automatically giving the region a number?

I have the same question but apparently no one has the answer. Seems like SF 10.0 took a step backward on this one.
