Subject:cursor problem with SF10

Just upgraded from SF8 to SF10. When I play a file, and click behind the (moving) cursor, playback resumes from that point. All I want it to do is place the cursor there, not resume play from that point.

Is this a setting I can turn off somewhere (hopefully)?

Go to Options menu and uncheck Seek Cursor on Playback (or hit the 'F' key).
