I submitted a problem report that tech support acknowledged to be a bug on March 25. This bug wasn't fixed in 10.0b. Since then I've been waiting it to be fixed in the next release. Can someone tell me whether a release 10.0c is planned? BTW, the bug is in the spectrum analysis tool - it goes outside the boundaries of the current selection when doing its analysis. The tool works fine in version 9.0c. |

I wonder if this problem is actually related to the problem I'm seeing. See my post here: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?MessageID=722493&Replies=0 When performing spectral analysis on a stereo impulse signal (i.e. a "spike") that is bit-identical in the left and right channels, one would expect to see left and right frequency responses overlapping. This is the way it looks in SF8's Spectrum Analysis tool. But in SF10, with the exact same input file and settings, the Spectrum Analyser shows the right signal as being consistently 6dB quieter than the left. Also the left channel freq response appears to start rolling off at 2k, whereas the right side never rolls off. This problem is only exhibited when doing static measurements; real-time monitoring seems fine. Message last edited on8/4/2010 1:32:02 PM byshanksworthy. |

I'm sure the would be a 10.0c ; I don't think it's time for '11' yet ! Hopefully it would address all known issues ! geoff |
