Subject:Multi-Track Recording with Acid 3.0

I am looking to do some (not much) multi track recording (8 tracks), and not sure which, if any of these multi I/O interfaces will work with Acid 3.0. Any suggestions? I know places like Sam Ash sell these
8 I/O cards, like the Mark Of the Unicorn 828, but will it work with Acid 3? (to record 8 seperate tracks at once?) Also, I would love to hook up a USB fader pack controller, such as a Tascam US-428 -- WILL THAT work with Acid 3? If not...does anyone know of anything else that might do the trick?

I am not able to make a specific hardware recommendation, but I do want to point out that Acid will not function as a multi-track recorder. You can only record one track at a time. If you are looking to do multi-track recording, you may want to check out our Vegas programs.

hmmm....thanks. good to know. I was hoping I could do everything in this one program. i like keeping things clean and simple like that.....but thankyou. maybe you guys should look into 4.0 having some multi-track capabilities, that way, geeks like myself who hate having a seperate multi-tracking program will be happy!

Also......I understand now the deal with the sound cards and multi-tracking, but are there fader controllers out there to control Acid 3 so that I can have the feel of a real console in front of me when mixing down tracks? I see in REMIX and other magazines all these midi and USB controllers with 12 faders to control "any" software.....will it work? any suggestions?
