Subject:Selecting Part of Track

I've looked in the manual and in the Help and can't find how to do this.

I've got a midi file with several tracks on it with different instruments. I want to select a section of each track (the same section) and render that out as a separate file. I've looked at the chopper, I've looked at splitting. I can't figure out how to do it.

Can it even be done?

Are you talking about a time slice (a certain number of beats), or an instrument slice (one instrument at a time)? The first is easy. The second may require a dedicated MIDI file editor.

Time slice. Across multiple instruments (tracks).
