Subject:Audio metadata question

Hello all,
For a wav file, in the properties, I have input the details I need into the metadata fields. But, none of these properties gets shown up when I open that wav file in the Windows Media Player except for the Name of the file.

The RealPlayer atleast shows up the
Title: Drum loop
Author: Mr. Geek
Copyright: 2001. Mr. Geek & Company

When I reopen this wav file in SoundForge, it has retained all the metadata details intact. Now, upon reopen, the propeties even says its a Microsoft RIFF File.
How I am I supposed to make available the embedded metadata of the wave file???
