Right-click "Edit Source Project" option is dimmed -Sound Forge - PC

I render the audio file as a typical CD-quality .WAV file, and I put a check mark in the dialog window's "Save project as path reference in rendered media" option. But when I right-click the rendered .WAV file in the Sound Forge Explorer, the option "Edit Source Project" is always dimmed / unavailable. The same thing happens when I right-click the wave form in an open Sound Forge data window. Is there a Preferences setting or other 'switch' that causes this?
