Hi I love Acid pro but unfortunately it seems some great software add-ons are occasionally not compatable. I have seen the Celemoney Melodyne software and feel it would be a great asset to my studio, however the VST plugin software is not compatable with Acid Pro... Melodyne allows you to open an audio file within an edit window and you can pitch shift individual notes like your editing midi, but you can do it to live audio. I know that Acid Pro lets you pitch shift individual notes but this is much more subtle and also lets you correct notes that are slightly out like auto tune but in a manual window one note at a time.. I have heard that there are possibly some equivelant programs available and was wondering if anyone know of one that would work as a VST plug-in within Acid? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Nickson |

Here's a link to a post where I explained how to use Melodyne with Acid Pro: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=1&MessageID=659226 |

All the pitch-correction VSTs surely work in Acid, as they do any other VST-capable DAW ?! geoff |

I've been using the free demo of Antares Auto Tune VST with Acid Pro 7 and it works well. I'll admit, the Celemony Melodyne VST looks alot nicer though! http://www.antarestech.com/ -z |

not exactly the same thing but propellerhead record 1.5 has pitch correction called trident that looks amazing.... hopefully that can be rewired into acid..... reason 3.0 and acid pro 6.0 never worked well, so i never upgraded reason to 4.0 but Record 1.5 is a must have for me. |

"All the pitch-correction VSTs surely work in Acid, as they do any other VST-capable DAW ?!geoff" Nope. Just do a search on Melodyne in the Acid forum. Melodyne works in Reaper though (a "VST-capable DAW") - but you don't actually need it with Reaper because it has a pitch correction feature included. Antares stuff works well with Sony apps. |
