Make sure your audio files are saved (just slap me silly if I sound condescending, even though you've probably done all this already?) as the Cool Edit supported .wav file proper sample rate. (i.e. - either 48k or 44.1k) Then, make sure that your 'options' in cool edit can play it back at the certain rate. Good luck!
