Subject:Acid and Hardware MIDI Posted by: EternalTyro Date:6/23/2010 11:50:08 PM I just bought a Ketron SD2 for MIDI sounds. It works fine but I have no idea how to change instruments in Acid. There are patches for Sonar, Cubase and Logic but not Acid. I did a search here and I saw a post that says Acid treats hardware MIDI the same as a soft synth. Not sure where to go from there. I found a very kludgy way to do it. I open another DAW (RealBand, comes with Band in a Box), select an instrument, and exit. That instrument will be in Acid and record fine. Don't ask how I figured that out. But a better workflow would be nice, if anyone can help or point me to a helpful link. I like Acid, don't really want to use or learn another DAW. I also now realize that hardware MIDI won't render like VST. I need to send it to Acid as audio, I assume. Line in didn't work, I have a hi-z jack, maybe that? Maybe someone with a Roland module would know. As always, thanks much. Bob (I use Acid Music Studio 6)

Make sure you have the correct audio device selected. H-Z should not make a difference. geoff
