Ok I'm using a dell laptop, do you guys think I need to use a desktop.. Or does the laptop work the same...
I'm not sure if the laptop has a sound card. I it has a jack for a mic, head phones and speaker jack... is that considerd the sound card?
Oh and is Acid DJ and Acid Hip Hop the same programs...

I run on Acid Pro 3 on the 300mhz laptop with 64mb of Ram and things work Ok. I would guess that you do have a sound card.

Acid Hip Hop and Acid DJ are very different.

ACID HipHOp and ACID DJ are both ACID 2.0 style versions.
Just the audio samples differ.
As, in comparison to other licence- and royalty-free sample libraries, the number of samples (? 600 ?) is VERY limited with all editions of ACID,
there is no much difference: You must buy tons of legal samples, anyhow :-(. Like "Data Becker / Masterbits" collection "12.000 sounds volume 1 and 2" for a VERY fair price ( $35 each volume in Germany ).

Am I right ?
