Subject:Can't open .acd files after reformat?

Purchased Acid Music 5.0 years ago, and worked great. A friend reformatted my comp. 8 months ago, and since, I frustratingly get a "connot locate file from specified location" message!
When I follow the "search for file" window, I get only "take 129" files, which are not what it is supposed to be looking for.
Have numerous .acd files being held hostage, and am about to switch software! Am desperate!

FIRSTLY: I'm no advanced user, but have you made sure the path to old acd files is EXACTLY the same as original? An error here, will fuck you everytime. Assuming you have reloaded formatted disc the same as you did you had it previously.

edit: never mind.

have you tried to let Acid search automatically? otherwise, open Windows Explorer and do a search on your entire computer for the file that ACID is supposed to open.
