Hey, anybody out there know a good strategy for getting rid of sibilance? (Besides not recording it in the first place?) I reckon i could use a the bandwidth compressor with a notch filter, etc., but it seeems kind of clunky. Am I overlooking a de-esser that comes with 5.0 or Noise Reduction 2.0 (I have both). Thanks very much. -Ed |

There is actually a de-esser preset in the multi-band dynamics plug-in for the full Sound Forge. Go to Effects->Dynamics->Multi-band and look in the preset menu. Please note that this option is not available in Sound Forge XP. Hope this helps. Ted |

another de-esser that is my favorite and works well is the waves de-esser. Very user friendly and does the job. |

The Waves de-esser is (included in) a completely separate product... a set of plug-ins from Waves. They really are great; also expensive. |
