Look for a program called "imgburn".

But doesn't MS give instructions on how to burn ISO's on their website, with software links?

Thanks Stephen. I downloaded imgburn and it worked well. On the Microsoft download page they just say to use the software that comes with your burner and to see their instructions.

Yep - another very positive vote for imgburn (FREE, but he does take donations happily !! ). I use it all the time (either from my slideshow software or from DVDA, I create an ISO and burn from there).

One important thing that imgburn does that a lot of people don't realize is you can create an ISO from a disk using imgburn. You know that silly install CD that has vanished ? Next time, use imgburn to capture an ISO of the CD. Now you can re-create the CD any time you want. (why is it that an AOL CD can get out of the garbage and back onto the table, but the install CD for your favorite software will vanish without a trace ????? )

Sheesh - I mention AOL and within 5 minutes I get spam from some aol infected machine (well, it claims to be) for Louis V handbags at great prices ... please to be so careful and we want your credit card :-) Sigh. If we could figure a way to harness the power of spam, we would eliminate our need for oil completely !

Another vote here for IMGburn. It's what I use instead of Nero these days (I only figured out how much better it was after I bought the full version of Nero!). One of my favorite and most used programs.

Me too :-)

And the initial recommendation came here (of course) :-)

The imgburn website is horrible. I realize that he's giving it away for free and must pay for bandwidth but geez, all the ads for similar products is distracting as hell. I could hardly tell what was content and what wasn't. At the very least the guy could format the page more clearly.

On a side note I find the mobile app model of offering a free version with ads and a pay version without to be a good way to handle software distribution. Maybe something like this could provide some relief to the ad-blast.

Yes, DVDA can create a bootable CD from an ISO. I recently used it to burn a bootable DVD for Windows Home Server Beta. Set up the project Properties as a Blu-Ray Disc, Select "Make Blu-Ray Disc", select "Burn" and select the directory where your ISO file is located and you're set to go.

Terrific - I'll keep that in mind for the next time I need to make a bootable.
