hey so i have a gateway fx series comp with the i7 quad core processor running windows 7 64 bit. Sound card prob doesnt matter with my issue because everything ran fine for a while. so one day i added an fx track to a project and during play back it almost sounds as if the audio is ripping or skipping. now all projects do that. i reinstalled my operating system and turned off all processes and windows sounds and no difference. ive also changed buffer sizes and updated all drivers and nothing. please help! |

Please fill out your system specs in your user profile. What audio hardware are you using? Peter |

ok im using realtec hd audio and i upgraded to windows 7 and everything worked fine for about 4 months and then one day out of the blue i had issues with a project that i recorded earlier when i added and fx track. there was popping in the playback and i changed no settings. restarted the comp and still the same issue but now all projects that had buses and fx tracks and plugins had the same prob. so i figured it was a computer performance issue and that i must have done something to hinder my comps performance so i reinstalled my operating system and started fresh but they problem is still there. i dont get it. iand i know my computer can handle the operations needed to sustain constant playback even with mass plugins (it did it for 4 months). |

Oh, I'm sorry. I must have misread your post what with all the run-on sentences. Sorry for the confusion. I'll shut up now. |
