Ok there's some new stuff here !

I called the United-States' SF support, asking for a french support. A girl (with a very sexy french accent by the way) told me it was because i had Windows 98 original Edition and that i needed Windows 98 Second Edition.

Do someone knows how can i update from 1st to second edition of windows 98 ?
please don't tell me i'll have to buy the new 2nd edition and that i'll have to format my hdd to install it pleaaase :)...

Yes i went there last time too, but i didn't find any update from windows 98 to windows 98 second edition...

have you tried the 'windows update' from your start menu?

yeay
i did try windows update,
but it didn't find me any "from 1rst to second edition" update ;(

Anyway i called Microsoft France and they told me that i could buy this update. So that's what i did (it didn't cost me much anyway). but now i have to wait 2 weeks till i know if this update is the solution to my issue.
