Okay, I felt a little better after I realized that some of the Sound Forge processing (like auto-trim and normalize) had been added as "Plug-In" functionality. But unfortunately, things that I used to do in the old Batch Converter are impossible to do in the new. Specifically... --*-- You can't use the Auto-Trim plug-in to automatically create Regions during an "Extract Silence" operation. This feature was real handy for automatically separating songs into separate regions by identifying the silence between them. --*-- There is no insert silence operation. I used this feature in the old Batch Converter to put back the silence I extracted in the step above. A---- |

Yes, I agree. The insert silence functionality is one that I use a lot as well. Actually, it seems as if a lot of other things are missing as well. Bummer. At least I got it as part of an upgrade deal... Todd |
