Please help with audio skipping.... -ACID Product Family

Posted by: SonicBigpoppa Date:6/17/2001 10:28:46 PM hey all, i have acid pro 3.0, and ive even tried 2.0 as well and in both versions any loops i try the audio skips really badly. ive tried all of the different solutions in the online support file, but nothing worked, altho when i increased the playback buffering in the 0ptions>preferences>audio menu it helped some, but not a lot. and yes, im pretty sure i have enough ram, hd space etc, i have 3 gigs free and 64megs of RAM, i should be fine i guess. well any help would be appreciated thanks.

Reply by: Rockitglider Date:6/17/2001 10:51:53 PM Hello, Well it takes about 16 meg of ram just to sit idle on the normal desktop, and depending on how many programs you have running in the background you may increase that, so I think you need about 200 more meg of ram. And about the buffer you may have to crank it all the way up with only 64 meg. Sorry about the bad news:(

Reply by: SonicBigpoppa Date:6/18/2001 3:22:55 PM well i guess thats true from looking at those threads but for me the prob isnt too much ram, i think it might be too little cuz i only have 64 and one site i saw for video, sound editing and graphics programs recommended 128 megs, in general. but on the other hand, my friend has acid pro too and he only has 64 megs with a P2 450mhz i think.
