program suggestions for marking tracks -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:program suggestions for marking tracks Posted by: meskin Date:6/16/2001 4:02:52 PM ok, so i gather there is a way to breakdown one long wav file into smaller tracks to allow a person to... 1) burn a cd of that one track, while... 2) being able to access different areas of that track via the cd player's track up/down buttons BUT..... when this is done in soundforge, there is a skip/hiccup whenever the song reaches a track mark. So first of all, how do i make these track marks in SF5? And if this skip/hiccup thing is true, does anyone have any suggestions for any other programs that can accomplish what i want without the skip/hiccup? Preferably freeware (yeah, i'm a tighty) Any comments at all would be appreciated. Thank you.
