Subject:Strange lines when using Waves Plug-Ins in SF 5.0b

Has anyone noticed strange vertical lines appearing on the waveform display after they've processed a file in Sound Forge 5.0b with one of the plug-ins from the Waves Gold Bundle? Whenever I use the Waves RCL I get these strange lines that aren't audible but are visually distracting when trying to edit. The lines are very consistent and almost look like a clock or timing reference.

yes, I've noticed the same thing. I have Waves Native Gold Bundle 3.0 and I have the Matrox G-400.

Hello,

I have a Waves NPP 3.01 and RenVox and RenBass, Windows 2000 pro and Matrox G400, and I don't have any problem, works well.

Try with write to the Waves Tech support.

Bye

Same here, and not just when you use external effect, sometimes these lines appear with crossfades, eq's etc also.

It looks like the Peak File isn't updated properly as the soundfile itself does not have any problems and the lines disappear once you zoom in enough.

This is definately a problem of the upgrade but as far as I can tell not something that messes up the sound file itself, it is really just the visual information that's not updated right.

If it really hinders, you can copy paste the file to a new one, as it copies it rebuilds the peaks and the problem is gone, untill you make another crossfade :)

Hey Charles
It's not the Waves stuff I've seen it when using Wavehammer.

This should be fixed in 5.0c. In the meantime, Special->Rebuild Peak Data should fix it.
