OT: Free Targus Charger Tips

If anyone has a Targus universal charger, they are giving free tips for registering on the website, $5 shipping.

I've heard these tips are compatible with iGo chargers too, but caveat emptor on that.

EXPLAINATION: I knew it was probably a longshot that this would be useful to anyone, but it IS something FREE!

These chargers are a bit pricey, $129, but I got mine a couple years ago for $29 by mistake and dumb luck. They were marked $29 at an OfficeMax, and when the error was discovered at checkout I made a stink, so the manager honored the price.

Since I got such a good deal, I went to the Targus website and found an accessory connector for portable stuff like mp3 players, cell phones, etc. so I bought that too, with an iphone tip. I was still WAY under the original $129.

I never did get a USB tip because I thought I didn't need it, but now I do, so that's when I discovered FREE TIPS yesterday. Too good to be true! What luck!

You do realize that they aren't FREE (as you put it in all CAPS), they're $5. This is $5 more than FREE.

You raising a stink and taking basically unfair advantage of an obvious mistake doesn't surprise me at all. Personally, I would have pointed out the mistake so that they could have corrected it before an opportunist like you raised a stink and scammed them out of $100, but that's just me.
