Firewire CDR Not Recognizable -Sound Forge - PC - MAGIX Community Forums Archive

Hi. I'm new to this newsgroup and I have to say I haven't scanned all of the messages for an answer to this question, but I have a Yamaha CRW2100FXZ firewire CDR drive and SoundForge 5.0b. When I try to read or write from this drive it is not recognized. Is this a problem with the drive, firewire or both? Is there a solution to this problem? I love this drive and I don't want to part with it, I used to use a SCSI drive for mastering with CD Architect, but I've already sold that. Any help would be appreciated.
